Philippine d'Otreppe graduated from the Arts University in Bournemouth, she is now a freelance illustrator in Brussels. She is especially interested in reportage: exploring, observing and recording events in the format of sketchbooks. Her drawings form a language and the process of drawing is a tool to observe reality and interpret it.

Philippine has an enthusiasm for drawing in places where she documents the atmosphere of an area and the life within it by interacting and engaging with the people who inhabit those spaces. It is within those projects that she has developed an interest in the study of the society, which has inspired her in other narrative projects. After being on location Philippine often works in the field of printmaking, mainly screen printing, exploring new ways to produce her work.
